Since then I have held clinical positions working for Dade County in Miami, and as of 2006, Riverside County Department of Behavioral Health working with both children and adults.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Biology at the University of Puerto Rico and my Masters of Science Degree in Psychology at the Miami Institute of Psychology, now known as Carlos Albizu University.

I have training in various treatment modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Multidimensional Family Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders.

Dr. McDowell is a licensed clinical psychologist who began working in the field in 1995. She has worked with a range of diagnoses and cultures. She has worked at the University of California, Riverside doing short and long term therapy with college students, at Laguna Beach Shanti, doing individual and group therapy with AIDS and HIV positive persons, and working at Citrus Community College doing psychological assessments with college students. She uses both cognitive behavioral and family systems techniques in therapy. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, women's issues, sexual orientation issues, grief/loss, and adolescents and she enjoys working with people 12 and older.

Wendy Cohen is a licensed therapist with a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She prefers to work with adults and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focus Treatment. Ms. Cohen treats individuals in life transitions dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolarity as well as grief and loss. She enjoys teaching parents new skills and runs an educational seminar called "Becoming a Love and Logic Parent" in the community. She has been practicing in the Inland Valley since 2005.
